Swedish designer Svea Tisell explores the potential of mono-materials to create three-dimensional forms through her brand Kryss. For example, Tisell used simple rope and a multi-weaving technique to create her Entwined Objects series, which allows for strong, three-dimensional structures without the need for an additional frame. The rope itself is made from recycled climbing materials or excess laces, making the resulting objects recyclable. According to the designer, at the end of their life, the objects can be easily dismantled by simply untying the final knot, and the rope can be used for its intended purpose.
