Tatyana Ershova and her client decided to refute the stereotype that an interior for rent should be durable first and foremost, and only then beautiful. The owner of a small apartment asked the designer to focus on finding a compromise between comfort and a limited budget. The design was to be neutral but interesting - so that the people who would live here would have a feeling of home. After the renovation work was completed and all apartment decor ideas were implemented, a female student rented the studio in just one day.

Initially, the designer got her hands on a compact studio with one room and a separate bathroom. The modest footage of the object required a special approach to the placement of functional zones. Since the room had only one window, Tatyana Ershova moved the dressing room to the far half of the apartment. The more illuminated part of the corridor was given to the kitchen set, and the main space flooded with sunlight was given to the living room, dining area and bedroom. The idea of a neutral white base with bright red and graphic accents reminded the project team of the contrasting Nizhny Novgorod sunsets with all shades of red. Art helped to bring together all the components of the color scheme - landscape works by artist Natalia Ovsyannikova and ceramics by Anastasia Nikolaeva from Twohares ceramics. Thus, a geometric vase appeared in the hallway, and the wall above the gray sofa-couch was decorated with a panel "Vrubel". The design palette turned small furniture groups into points of attraction of the apartment. Since the volumes of the bed and kitchen dissolve in the light finish, the owners' attention is drawn to bright chairs and a laconic black table. The logical result of budgetary restrictions was the search for furniture on second-hand market - according to the designer, expressive items with history only enriched the interior. The vintage chest of drawers in the hallway looks fashionable thanks to its scuffs, and the chair opposite the projector brings a sense of coziness here.
