The owner of the apartment, a young programmer living abroad, knew exactly what functional areas his future tenants needed in a small rental apartment. He asked Milana Kolodnik from the STM | ARCHITECTS studio to create a design that would suit a man like him who works remotely. At first, the designer thought that it was impossible to accommodate the necessary rooms in such a square footage, but in the end, all the author's ideas were realized. There was even a free space "for dancing", where two people could easily pass each other.

In order to properly zone the small space, the designer suggested building a partition from expanded clay concrete blocks. It organically separates the sleeping area and the kitchen. Thanks to it, all the necessary living areas were placed at once in just thirty-five square meters. A well-thought-out planning solution, which formed the basis of the future interior, allowed the space to be calmly filled with furniture and decor. The experience of designing an apartment of such a small area exceeded all the team's expectations: it was possible to make seven different zoning options. The real highlight of the project was the black niche with a bed - an important design element. It visually increases the size of the room, and the mirror standing next to it only enhances this effect. The entrance group, located in the back of the house, on the contrary, is finished with white paint. This shade brings more natural light into the design and does not disturb the monochrome palette. In addition to a compact dining table with a couple of chairs and a kitchen set, there is even a full-fledged workplace here. Vertical slats and a rhythmic pattern of verticals helped to visually "raise" the ceilings here. All communication with the customer took place remotely, and thanks to the author's supervision, the work on the interior went smoothly.
