Candle Trends 2024
Bottega Veneta has announced the launch of a new line of candles that will be the candle trend of 2024. Paying tribute to the craft traditions that the fashion house often turns to in its practice, the company invited Italian ceramic masters to collaborate. Each candle holder with a vibrant volcanic glaze was created by hand.
The décor is a nod to the brand's history—the company was founded in Venice in 1966—and the flowing pattern may recall water canals and the marble of Italian palazzos. On the other hand, the frozen glaze imitates the intricate leatherwork that made the house famous and reflects the creative vision of the brand's creative director Mathieu Blasi.
Three complex aromas based on essential oils create an olfactory triptych, but they can be used both together and separately. The main notes of Raintree in the green candlestick are ripe figs, thyme, and lavender, which are reminiscent of summer and the Mediterranean. The yellow Lantern candle scent combines incense, rose, and vetiver to create a warm composition with notes of suede. Redstone smells of plum nectar, tobacco, cedar, leather, and amber. Once the wax has melted, Bottega Veneta suggests preserving the ceramic candle holders and transforming them into decorative objects with new functions.
