We have collected ideas on how to Make Your Bedroom Look Spectacular for those not ready to paint entire walls in bright colors or glue wallpaper with patterns.

Make Your Bedroom Look Spectacular

Using a large amount of bright color in the bedroom is not an idea for everyone, as it can be difficult to relax before bed in such a room. We looked at design projects and found unobtrusive ideas for an accent in the bedroom.

1. High ceiling cornice in the color of the wallpaper

This apartment was made by a daughter for her mother. The interior was a surprise for the hostess. In the bedroom, it was possible to create a cozy enveloping space, but not boring due to the expressive decoration and furniture. So, on the wall at the head of the bed, they pasted wallpaper with an image of trees in beige tones. Against the background of light walls, the accent looks delicate and unobtrusive. High ceiling cornices in the color of the beige pattern on the wallpaper look unusual since cornices rarely stand out against the background of the decoration.

2. Textured wall

Accent walls are often made with bright paint or colored wallpaper. In this project, designer Maria Nichiporenko did not use either. The emphasis is on texture. The wall at the head of the bed was decorated with putty and the same light paint that the rest of the walls in the room were painted with. The bedroom remained in fairly calm tones, but at the same time, the walls do not look boring. The visual effect of this solution is enhanced by hidden lighting that runs along the ledge near the textured wall.

3. Embossed panels and a bit of color

The apartment designed by Alina Murashova was originally planned for rent, but in the end, the owners decided to keep it for personal use. The designer used natural tones, the main accent color was a muted green shade. The bedroom does not look boring due to the relief panels at the head of the bed in the color of the light walls. The area with the dressing table is highlighted in green. There is not much color, so it does not disturb the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the bedroom.

4. Bright ceiling cornice

The main accent element in this apartment designed by Karina Altunina is the bright ceiling cornices — this solution was implemented in all rooms, including the bedroom. In this room, the cornices are painted terracotta, and the wall behind the headboard is highlighted in a light green shade. The color of the cornices matches the chest of drawers opposite the bed. The main wall decoration is neutral beige, as are the curtains. Thus, a small amount of accent color does not make the bedroom aggressive, but at the same time creates an impressive visual effect.

5. Wallpaper and imitation wall panels

The apartment designed by Maria Tartashnik is a Khrushchev-era apartment for rent. The bedroom is elongated, but the designer managed to visually level out the unsuccessful shape of the room with the help of the finishing. The walls are painted in two shades of blue, and the border between them is decorated with molding that looks like wall panels. The horizontal division of the walls, according to the author of the project, helps to visually expand the narrow room. The headboard of the bed is covered with checkered wallpaper. They stand out only because of the pattern, as they were chosen in the same blue tones.
